Get it here!
“Powerful”, “Compelling”, “A story well worth writing” – this is what people are saying about this honest, and sometimes brutal, true story of one man’s struggle growing up in the shadow of childhood sexual abuse. From his difficulties growing up, to his drug addiction, failed relationships, and struggles with parenthood, the author takes us through the ups and downs of a life spent in the shadows, trying to make sense of the events that formed the basis of his being. Sometimes tragic, sometimes hopeful, but never sugar coated, My Father’s Prostitute – Story of a Stolen Childhood takes the reader on an emotional ride which reminds us that the human spirit is more powerful than the demons that haunt us.

Awesome review just left:
"A courageous and frank narrative of the daily struggle that the abused face. Everyone should read this. Chances are you know someone that that's been through a similar experience, whether you are aware of it or not. The author's message of determination and hope manages to be uplifting even through the darkness. We need more people that are willing to drag tough subjects into the light to be exposed. Steven Whitacre manages to do so in a way that is so compelling that I read the book in one sitting. "
That's more than a few people that have sat down and read it straight through. Granted, it's only 132 pages of easy reading, but it's the little things that makes me happy :)
Also heard today from 2 more men that have come forward to tell me they had similar experiences in childhood, and thanked me for writing the book. To me, that is worth everything. That is the reason I told my story.
